Cyber Things

I’ve wanted to work in cybersecurity since before it had a name. I got my first computer at 14 and immediately wanted to know everything about how it worked — and how it could be broken. That curiosity never left.

I have an MS in Cybersecurity from NYU Tandon and a BS in Computer Science and Information Security from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, along with the CompTIA Security+ and ISC2 SSCP certifications. My hands-on experience spans threat intelligence, DFIR, log analysis, network forensics, and offensive security research through CTF competitions, cyber range labs, and an internship that focused on threat intelligence.

What drives me is the investigative side of security — reconstructing attacker behavior, tracing activity through logs and artifacts, and turning raw data into something actionable. In my free time I love playing CTFs, for the layered, ambiguous, challenges that require you to think across tools and disciplines simultaneously. It’s exactly what I love about this field.

I’m also active in the WiCyS and ISACA communities and volunteer with Women and Youth Advancement (WOYA).

Non-cyber things I love

• Travel - Scotland and New Zealand are at the top of my list
• Animals - Especially dogs, elephants and owls (unfortunately, I rarely get to see the last 2)
• Board games - Some of my favorites are Catan, Wits and Wagers, Scrabble, and Rummikub
• Reading - Fantasy is my go-to genre but I just love a good story
• Movies - Give me all the Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Rom-Coms, Action, and Superhero movies
